If you are not sure if an act will break the rules, feel free to ask an admin or mod to assist you!

General Rules

  1. As of the FANDOM Guidelines. You have to be 13 Years of age or older to register a FANDOM Account, If you are Under the Limit, You can view the wiki as a guest.  If you reveal yourself to be under the age limit, your account may be disabled by FANDOM staff.
  2. You need to have a FANDOM Wiki account to be on the Discord server.

Regarding Behavior

  1. Respect the wiki staff. If a content moderator or administrator deleted your article, it was for a reason. Do not speak disrespectfully to them, if you want the article back, discuss about it with the admin that deleted it.
  2. Harassing other users is NOT acceptable. Remember, Nobody likes a bully, and we are no exception.
  3. We have no tolerance for trolls, whether it be for humor or for harassment. please be aware that this is not a chan site.
  4. If you see a Troll or A Vandal, report them to a Administrator and leave them alone. Do not engage in any Flame War, you'll be only fueling their desire to cause problems.
  5. We also have no tolerance for vandals, any form of vandalism results in being blocked for a period of time depending on the circumstance.
  6. Sockpuppeting is forbidden.
    1. If you don't know what that means, sockpuppeting is the act of creating alternate accounts with the intention of deceiving others. For example, after being blocked, a user creates an alternate account. They evade their ban and fabricate a new identity. That is sockpuppeting, and thus a breach of this rule.
  7. Do not request personal information and do not give out the personal information of someone else against their will. This is considered doxxing.
  8. If there is something that you want completed especially on pages and other things that you can do, you must do it yourself and don't beg others to it for you.
  9. When an admin gives a warning, listen to it and NEVER delete the warning message. Doing this will either lead to a block or a second warning.
  10. No protagonist fussing. Protagonist fussing (which is incorrectly and needless changing the description about the character's role) is often causes edit war. Refusing to comply with this rule will occur in a block.
  11. No dramas/incidents related to other wikis/sites shall be brought and instigated here as we have no part in what issues are occuring them and do not wish for them to be brought here.

Regarding Content

  1. Do not provide links to pornographic sites (rule 34 counts, just so you know) and do not upload pictures that are overly offensive.
  2. Please do not farm edits. Try to be productive!
  3. Articles about Heroic Items, Heroic Events, and Heroic Locations are allowed on the wiki!
  4. Don't copy information from other articles not written by you on this wiki, other wikis, and sources not made by you. Articles must be in their own words so if a article is plagiarized, it will be deleted and the user who plagiarizes despite being warned may face a block. If you REALLY need to quote a source, it's recommended you use the Notes section to source the info you're copying from. The takeaway is that plagiarism is a big offense that's really bad for us and in turn will be really bad for you, so don't do it! This also goes for POH proposals which will put you out of the whitelist or get you outright blacklisted if it becomes a major issue.
    1. Copying sources that you created isn't considered plagiarism and is allowed, however it's recommended you inform an admin or the community that it's your own work and that it isn't stolen from anyone else to avoid unnecessary repercussions.
  5. No Blank pages nor One Line Articles, however article stubs are a bit more tolerable but still prohibited. If article stubs aren't expanded by 3 months, they are likely to be deleted. If a blank page or one-line article is made, it WILL be deleted right away by a mod or admin who sees it, as the rule about one-line articles has changed. So don't make Blank pages, One Line Articles nor Stubs. In order for an article to not be a one line article, they must have at least 6 sentences. However six, seven, eight or nine sentences would be a stub, ten to twelve depends. Also, never make one-line articles and blank on purpose. However One-Line Blog posts and sandboxes are allowed to stay but again normal/published one-line articles and blank articles will be gone.
  6. Never add any categories that are completely unnecessary like duplicate categories or categories that don't make sense or have no meaning. Continue to add them will result to a warning, ignore these warnings result in a block.
  7. Content can be mature as long as they have a Mature Template. Content with Mature work must have a Mature Template. But don't do anything too explicit, exposed genitals and female nipples will be deleted because it counts as a kind of pornography. Also, don't make any fetish articles.
  8. Characters (even heroes) who are not fan-fiction/fanon are not allowed. However, fan-fiction versions of those type of characters can be allowed as long as they are heroic.
  9. No villains allowed. Remember, this is a wiki for heroes, not villains. We don't want villains here since they are either Complete Monsters, always evil and never good, have little to no heroic acts at all, only do good things indirectly and/or for their own benefit and not out of heroism, only pretending to be heroic or nice, have evil actions that overshadow their good actions or if they are sometimes rather neutral than heroic. Villains are only accepted if they either redeem themselves and become heroes, occasionally do heroic things or if they are anti-heroes. If you want an article on a villain, put the villain(s) on the Villains Fanon wiki instead of this wiki.
  10. Real life people are not allowed. Fictionalized versions of real-life people are allowed, HOWEVER we place such articles under scrutiny if they're suspected to be done to slander, insult, or are made in bad faith towards the person. Remember, be nice!
  11. Don't edit the content of pages that have the original tag without the author's permission unless you are an administrator or content moderator.
    1. If you wish to see any edits on such articles, ask the author of the page or an admin/mod about it before moving forward.
  12. To make a gallery, there must be over 20 images/videos and to make a synopsis, there must be over 15,000 bytes on a page.
  13. All of those also apply to Joke pages. While joke pages don't have to be written in a serious way, the category can't be used as an excuse to create spam pages or violate any rules.
  14. There should be at least 10 or more categories on a page when it's made. There shouldn't be a page with no categories, it makes finding the page easier. If there's not a single category on a page then the page would get deleted after 3 weeks and the user would get a warning.
  15. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT add any clone/duplicate infoboxes to the wiki. There WILL be harsh penalties if you do as it's extremely disruptive to the wiki.
  16. A POH proposal or removal must not be too short, it has to be at least detailed and effort put into it.
  17. If there's a tie or no votes then the proposal would have to be delayed until there's a winning ratio. Proposals with less than 2 votes will be delayed once for further voting before the final call is made.
  18. When a work (or a new season/chapter of it) is released, please wait two weeks after the release to make a proposal on the villain you think is/isn't a Pure of Heart, for the sake of not spoiling it for others. If the work is not published but it still has pages on this wiki, they can be an exception to this rule.
  19. Do not propose Rejected heart article candidates for the category Pure of Heart without the permission of an administrator because doing so will result in action appropriate to the situation.
  20. When making a POH proposal, the candidate may not come from any work on the Pure of Heart blacklist (whenever we cross that road lol). Breaking this rule once will lead to the deletion of the proposal and the user responsible will be directed to this blacklist, and any further violations of this rule will lead to the user's removal from the whitelist.
  21. Users who are blacklisted from participating in Pure of Heart discussions are not allowed to vote or make proposals. Should they attempt to do so, they will face penalties. (Again, when we cross that road)

Categories

  1. Do not add discrete Subcategories that have no connection in any way with Heroes.
  2. Do not spam categories on the wrong pages. When you add a category add a convincing and logical argument than just mindlessly and pointlessly adding random categories on pages where they don't belong.
  3. Don't add nor create duplicated categories for example, Category:Honest is the needed category but there is also Category:Honest heroes which is duplicated and pointless. Useless categories (such as Internet Heroes as 99% of fanfiction are internet based) are prohibited as well).
    1. As an extension and barrier to prevent this issue... Only Admins and content mods can create categories that aren't based on a franchise. However regular users can create franchise categories and their own user category about their own characters.
    2. Never recreate deleted categories. When a category gets deleted and unused at the same time, there are always reasons by admins. If you disagree with the termination, you can messages one of the admins or mods and explain why you don't agree with the deletion.
  4. Do NOT add the Pure of Heart, Near Pure Good, and Inconsistently Admirable Categories/Templates if the character has not been approved by a proposal. They must be proposed and approved on their respective wikis in order for the category/template to be added. Note that Pure of Heart proposals must be done on this wiki and not the Pure Good Wiki as both have separate proposing systems. This especially goes for rejected candidates.

Hero-specific Rules

  1. No villains unless they were villains that had redeemed themselves and became heroic as a result or are fallen heroes whose heroism were genuinely altruistic. Also do not add characters who are solely seen as villainous by the narrative.
  2. As this is a heroes FANON wiki, only OCs and fanfiction heroes are allowed here, heroes from official media (such as Star Wars) are not allowed as they are not considered fanon, but heroes from fanfiction based on official media (such as Character What) are still allowed here.
  3. Do not make pages for villains with mere redeeming qualities or for people who are just nice, they need to do something that actually counts as heroism (Ie: Saving someone) and cannot just be people who show love or affability. Just because they are affable or friendly going doesn't necessarily make them heroes.
  4. Avoid making pages about fanon heroes that are 100% identical to the original (For example, the heroes from "Toy Story in Real Life" are literally the exact same as the original, the only difference being they're live-action, so they're not allowed on this wiki). They need to have notable difference to be allowed, such as new actions or lines.
  5. For the protagonist scale, use the wiki's official protagonist scale.

Comment Rules

  1. No harassment or bullying, or making fun of disorders (Autism counts, just so you know).
  2. Reasons for deleted comments are: bullying and harassing users, drastic and offensive content an/or insults, doxxing, pornography, the comment being nonsensical and irrelevant or containing SJW propaganda.
  3. Swearing in the comment section is allowed as long as it's not used to offend other users.
  4. Users must have at least 100 edits to vote on PoH proposals.

Misconceptions about the rules

  1. Making pages on heroes from unpublished or private fanfics is not against the rules, those are allowed on here.
  2. Only heroes added to the Pure of Heart Category prior to the proposal system's debut are permitted to have the category. Though further review of the candidates/discussions/formality posts are encouraged.

Administrator/Moderator Rules

  1. Only Protect pages for good reasons, see https://community.wikia.com/wiki/Help:Page_protection for more
  2. Do not abuse your power, if this happens then you have to be demoted
  3. Don't be inactive, if you stay inactive for 2 months then you will be demoted
  4. Every previous rules apply to admins/mods as much as users unless stated otherwise.
  5. Never unfairly delete a page because you don't like it, and/or because it sucks. It's unfair for the author and is abuse of power. Doing so leads to demotion, we don't delete pages because we like or not, that's not how we do our jobs.
  6. Do not ban people for offenses relating outside of the Hero Fanon Wiki. Doing so will be considered overstepping your boundaries and is against FANDOM TOS. If you feel that a user may be a threat to multiple wikis, contact a FANDOM Staff instead so they can handle it.
  7. Admins/Mods can bypass the conventional requirements to get whitelisted.
