Ed (voiced by Matt Hill) is one of the three main protagonists of Ed, Edd n Eddy XL. He is the muscle as well as the "portable working machine" of the Eds.
Personality
Ed is kind and has very positive attitude towards almost anything, or anyone he encounters. This is because he is the kind of guy who sees a certain person as a potential friend. Ed has very low intelligence and is also a loyal fan of low-budget horror movies and comic books.
Although claimed to be a friendly guy, Ed has shown to have an aggressive side on rare occasions. A good example of this is in the show's feature-length film, "Ed, Edd n Eddy XL: The Aperture War". After Twilight Sparkle proceeded to make Eddy and Edd lose their consciousness, Ed becomes furious and enters his "berserk mode". He then proceeds to yell "BIG TROUBLE!!!" at the top of his lungs and begins smashing her castle to pieces in a very comedic fashion. After he destroys every last bit of her throne room, he challenges Twilight into a fight and says, "YOU LEAVE MY FRIENDS AND THE EQUES-DE-SAC ALONE!!!"
Ed is shown to be excellent friends with Pinkie Pie, because they have so much in common. Both are fun-loving and goofy and both share a very likable personality. They are also fanatics of certain things - Ed loves horror movies and Pinkie loves the "Powdered Toast Man" comic book series.
Above all, Ed's unpredictability and child-like lifestyle make him a great friend to everyone he loves.
Appearance
Ed is tall, has yellow skin, a light blue-colored tongue, a black unibrow and ginger hair in a buzz cut (making it appear black). He frequently wears an army green jacket with brown fabric in the inside, a red and white-striped T-shirt, purplish-blue pants and large black shoes. Ed also has turquoise eyes (when enlarged) and horse teeth.
No matter what the climate, Ed is always seen wearing that jacket.
